AlphaCoin is a multi-plant manufacturing organization with facilities currently in Danbury, CT; Bethel, CT, and Commack (Long Island), NY. AlphaCoin has expertise in precision metal forming capabilities such as electroforming, deep drawing, CNC machining and other manufacturing processes serving OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2/3 customers. AlphaCoin is seeking a Sales Manager within the Business Development organization with multi-facility new product introduction (NPI) and business development experience in an aerospace and defense precision manufacturing organization.
Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Manager are to maintain a high level of focus on generating sales, with both existing customers as well as new prospects, delivering best in class customer experience with a long-term mindset and developing and expanding our customer base. This inside Sales function reports to the Vice President, Sales & Business Development and will manage a portfolio of existing customers with the objectives to develop and maintain relationships, ensure satisfaction, and identify new growth opportunities. To contribute to expanding AlphaCoin’s reach, and image globally, clearly communicate and advocate AlphaCoin’s value proposition, expertise, products, and capabilities. Develop, nurture, and grow long-term relationships with new prospects / leads in order to expand our customer base. Communicate and work with cross functional teams in order to effectively solve customer issues/concerns. This position will work as a member of the Business Development Team and will provide timely and accurate information to support Outside sales team activities and the company as a whole. Support the Business Development Team with New Product Induction campaigns activities. Identify and help qualify new potential customers / leads and business opportunities to pursue. Conduct on-going market, product research, analysis, trends. Ideally this position will be located at our Bethel or Danbury, CT sites however we will consider our site located in Commack, NY as well.
Job Requirements and Duties: Includes the following duties and others as assigned:
- Generate new and repeat item quotes for customers and prospects. Identify equipment, labor, raw materials, purchased components, packaging and other requirements needed to produce an accurate quote package
- Ownership of program management activities from initial customer design through development, testing, and product manufacture within a formalized NPI process.
- Follow-ups to create rapport, identify concerns and / or obstacles to close sales
- Outreach to new prospects and customers to present AlphaCoin products and services
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from securing purchase orders, managing contract review (per AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements and procedures) to review to communication with customers
- Maintain and keep updated the internal CRM with new opportunities, leads and contact details
- Assist in coordinating customer visits as required
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails and leads generated through advertisements and trade shows
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Close sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Ensure all government requirements and regulations are followed
- Ability to travel [5%] of the time

- Five years minimum of experience in a related field preferably aerospace & defense
- Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience preferably metal forming
- AS or BS degree in Engineering or related field, with two years minimum of related technical program management, manufacturing, sales; or an equivalent combination of both education and experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer software programs (Microsoft products)
- Experience with Epicor ERP and CRM module a PLUS
- Thorough knowledge of the quoting process and setting financial targets for gross profits
- FAR certified cost or pricing requirements experience a PLUS
- Strong organizational skills
